Behind Mekam
Germán Mazzocchetti has more than 20 years of experience in the structuring and execution of real estate, private equity and institutional investments in Argentina, Uruguay, USA and Europe (mainly UK and Eastern Europe). His services include turnkey management (investment analysis, design, executive documentation, construction management and investment management from start to finish) of residential, office and commercial real estate projects in different scales and segmentations. Currently, he manages a real estate portfolio in Argentina and Uruguay in different stages of execution.
Before entering the Argentine market, he completed one of the most successful real estate projects of the last decade in Montevideo, Uruguay: the Alpha Place building. Previously, he led the formation of the Argo South America Real Estate Investment Fund, focused on residential and commercial developments in Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Argentina and Chile. Between 2006 and 2008, he played a key role in developing the real estate business for North Real Estate Opportunities Fund (NREOF), focused on Eastern European markets.
Prior to this role, he worked with Fortia Asset Management in Chicago, USA, specializing in real estate investments in Latin America. He is a licensed and certified architect in the USA (NCARB) and Argentina (CPAU and CAPBA). He also served as chief architect at McDonough Associates, a well-known architectural firm in Chicago. Germán Mazzocchetti graduated in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in 1999 and obtained an MBA from the University of Chicago (Booth School of Business) in 2006, ranked No. 1 in the world at the time of his admission.
